Shadow Theater

A backlit stage. Your cursor casts a shadow puppet against the screen. Four silhouettes, five light colors. The shadow grows as it moves away from the light source — just like real shadow play.

Move your cursor to control the shadow puppet. Switch shapes and light colors.

Shadow Play

One of the oldest forms of puppetry. A flat figure held between a light and a translucent screen. The audience sees only the silhouette. Simplicity IS the art.

Projection Scaling

The shadow scales based on distance from the light source. Closer to the screen = smaller, sharper. Further = larger, softer. Physics drives the effect.
